Walt Disney Parks & Resorts began construction for a mixed-use family resort on 21 acres of Ko Olina oceanfront property. Scheduled to open in 2011, this resort will have more than 800 units including hotel rooms and villas for Disney Vacation Club. Resort plans call for an expansive pool and water play area, spa, wedding lawn, convention center, children's club and spectacular dining at two restaurants -- one of which will provide a stunning view of the ocean.
